Finally done with this one! Originally, this project was going to be like an abandoned temple in the desert, but after something happened and Unreal kept crashing and I wasn't able to save my project, I restarted and it became more of an abandoned cave temple. I like the vibe it gives me, even if I can't quite put it to words.
I faced the same problem in this project - though not as extreme as not being able to save - and I think the source of the problem was the landscape splines I was using to create waterfalls, so I had to change my approach.
I wanted to challenge myself a little by continuing to use only what I could find from Quixel Megascans to piece together the scene; I'd like to go back through at some point and add in models I've made to fill out the scene some more and change some parts of it.
Using the fallen head model was definitely inspired by the Megascans Goddess Temple from the Unreal Marketplace. While this scene isn't game ready, I think it can at least serve as concept art.
All in all, despite the issues I had getting this one out, I feel like I learned a fair bit and enjoyed the project as a whole. As always, feedback and comments are always appreciated!
