This month, I'll be making an interior environment to get more experience making different pieces of furniture. The house is designed by David Guerra; I picked this house because I liked the architecture and the different range of furniture in the room and on the patio.
This first week, I blocked out all my meshes and assembled them in Unreal. After blocking it out, I began making the game-res models. As of week 1 I've gotten 1/3 of the way through modeling and UVing my game-res meshes, so the presentation images mostly feature blockouts at the moment.
By the end of my week 2 turn-in, all my meshes are modeled, UVed, and positioned in UE4. However I've come across a lighting crash that prevents me from building my lighting, even on preview.
Week 3 I was able to figure out why my engine was crashing whenever I tried to build by lighting, so I was able to work on texturing and lighting my scene.
